Some days, you've just got to trust that you can hold on for a little bit longer, that the best you've done will be good enough and that despite the darkness of the impending storm, it'll work out. Other days, you just have to tie it down, and hold on for dear life.

Lake Memphremagog in Newport, Vermont, on a shockingly cold day. In early winter, it can take a bit for the lake to freeze, and even on a day like this, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of -20F, the waves were rolling, the wind was whipping and the mists were freezing.
