Interesting bit of urban lore related to the Mount Washington Hotel debunked this evening in a random search. The interior shots for Stephen King’s The Shining were not filmed here, as I’d heard for years. Oh well, still a pretty cool place.

The Presidential Range of the White Mountains, which includes Mount Washington, is one of the best places on the East Coast for a variety of reasons and activities. This shot is an early morning foray into the cool autumn air near the Mount Washington Resort at sunrise. Honestly, I’d forgotten about this and many other images I made on that trip and just rediscovered them. I look forward to returning sometime soon.
