Upcoming Craft Fair

I will be setting up for my first craft fair of 2011 at the Irasburg Town Hall in Irasburg, VT, Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event, which can be signed up for here, is to benefit the Northeast Kingdom Relay For Life and hosted by the Angel Paws & Angel Paws Too Relay for Life Teams.

I’ll have matted prints in both 5x7 and 8x10, as well as a selection of framed prints and possibly notecards. If you’re in the area, please stop by and visit me and all the other vendors!

Relay For Life 2011 Fundraising

Each year, in one way or another, for the last few years, I’ve participated in the Northeast Kingdom VT Relay For Life. This year, we formed a new team, Picture a Cure, and I’ll be fundraising throughout the year, right up to the night of the event, held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at North Country Union High School in Newport, Vt.

Another way I’ll be fundraising is to donate a portion of each purchase from my 2010 Photo of the Day gallery.

Buy a print from the gallery, drop me a note, and a portion goes towards my Relay For Life fundraising. The donation will be made in your name, or the name of someone you choose and appear on my donation page!

Busy Photo Day Ahead

Crazy day is ahead for me.

First up, an afternoon wedding for friends Tara and Matt. I did their engagement shoot last year, and it was great fun. I don't generally do weddings, as I've previously noted, but I make exceptions, and this was an easy one to make. We're certainly hoping for the weather to hold off so they can do the ceremony outside and we can shoot all the good stuff outside, because it's being held at a gorgeous spot in St. Johnsbury, Vt., called the Alerin Barn. 

Then, once I'm finished up with the madness of an assuredly rowdy reception in the evening, I'm headed north to shoot and volunteer all night at the Relay For Life Northeast Kingdom at North Country Union High School in Newport, Vt. Definitely look for pictures of that in the coming weeks.

I got out of the burned house business for a few hours to shoot some pictures of our local Relay for Life's annual bingo fundraiser. It was a great time and we had solid attendance, raising over a $1,000!
