The Presidential Range of the White Mountains, which includes Mount Washington, is one of the best places on the East Coast for a variety of reasons and activities. This shot is an early morning foray into the cool autumn air near the Mount Washington Resort at sunrise. Honestly, I’d forgotten about this and many other images I made on that trip and just rediscovered them. I look forward to returning sometime soon.

At the Mount Washington Resort, you’re tempted to stay in bed on cool fall days. However, you’d miss the fog rolling off the Mount Washington Course, through the mountains and across the fairways. The White Mountains are a gorgeous place, to be sure.

Sometimes a scene or image will jump out at you, and sometimes it will sneak up on you. This one snuck up on me while I was descending the falls, while I paused to check my footing. Never know.
